The Immigration Agency of Mongolia is gradually digitalizing its services in order to provide public services to citizens, business entities and organizations without any delays. Starting from March 25, we are accepting online requests for residence permit extension of foreign nationals residing in Mongolia for official or private purposes. In particular, the 56 types of residence permit’s extension applications specified in the “Regulation on Residence and Registration of Foreign Nationals in Mongolia” will be received and resolved online.
      Citizens, business entities and organizations can choose the e-service by visiting the immigration.gov.mn website, clicking on to the “Residency for official or private purposes” section and submitting their application. However, if the request for an extension is granted, the foreign national or his / her authorized representative can come in person to collect his / her residence permit card.
      The Immigration Agency of Mongolia have received and resolved 23,012 residence permit extension applications in 2019, 10,065 in 2020, 16,574 in 2021 and in the first quarter of 2022, provided residence permit extension services to 4,497 foreigners.
