Notice to Foreign Nationals

Although Mongolia’s visa and permit services for foreign nationals have been fully digitalized — ensuring faster, more convenient, and efficient service delivery — there have been instances of falsified Mongolian visas and visa permits.

In particular, it has been confirmed that certain citizens of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh have unlawfully used the name of an inviting entity to alter information contained in previously issued visa permits. These individuals changed the applicant’s name and passport details, and subsequently generated a fraudulent link through which they produced counterfeit visa permits.

Therefore, in order to prevent foreign nationals from falling victim to such fraudulent schemes, they are advised to obtain information related to Mongolian visas and permits only from the official website of the Immigration Agency of Mongolia (https://immigration.gov.mn/). Applicants should also carefully verify that the domain name of the official electronic visa system — https://isf.mn/ — is correctly spelled, and refrain from contacting or using the services of unauthorized visa intermediaries.

Furthermore, the Immigration Agency of Mongolia verifies and monitors visa permits— documents authorizing the issuance of a visa to a foreign national — through a unified system accessible at both international border checkpoints and the country’s diplomatic missions abroad. Accordingly, it is impossible to enter Mongolia using falsified documents or permits. The Immigration Agency of Mongolia cautions foreign nationals, as well as inviting individuals and entities, to refrain from any illegal actions and to strictly comply with the laws and regulations of Mongolia.
