Attention Foreign Nationals!

On February 13, 2026, five citizens of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh attempted to travel to Mongolia on a Beijing–Ulaanbaatar flight departing from Beijing Capital International Airport using forged Mongolian visa permits. Following a request from the airline Air China, the submitted visa permits were verified through the official system. The verification process confirmed that the latter were not registered in the immigration database, contained inconsistent validity periods, and included QR codes generated through fraudulent links. Consequently, the individuals were denied boarding and prohibited from traveling to Mongolia.

Although the visa and permit services for foreign nationals have been fully digitalized, enabling faster and more accessible services, attempts to falsify Mongolian visa and visa permits continue to occur. Thus, foreign nationals are strongly advised to obtain visa-related information only from official sources to avoid fraud risks. Official information can be accessed through:

The Agency further advises foreign nationals to avoid unauthorized visa intermediaries. When reviewing visa authorization documents, applicants are encouraged to verify:

  • The official electronic service domain (https://isf.mn/),
  • The consistency between the application number and approval date, and
  • The contact information of the inviting party.
