1. Request letter (Letter shall be addressed to the President of Mongolia explaining clearly about the applicant and his/her family status including the reason for becoming a citizen of Mongolia, in which country the applicant has worked and resided, duration of residency, when and for what reason the applicant came to Mongolia, what country’s citizenship the applicant’s father, mother, wife /husband/ and children hold and which country the applicant resides currently);

1.1. Applicant shall write: To the President of Mongolia /name and surname/ in the first row, Year ……. Month ………Day ……. /aimag, soum, district/ in the next row and the content of the application in the next row. Application must be signed by the applicant in the end;

2. If the application is typed using computer, it must be verified by signature of the applicant at the end;

3.Biography of three generations (including biography of the applicant, wife/husband/, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother);

3.1 Date and current address must be written and must verify the biography with signature;

3.2 Grandfather and grandmother’s biography first, father and mother’s biography second and wife/husband’s and applicant’s own biography third explaining in detail the life from birth to current day with correct order of dates and finally applicant must verify and sign the biographies at the end with his/her full name and surname;

4. Application form;

5. Copy residence permit card;

5.1 Copies of front side and valid date must be notarized;

6.Notarized copies of birth certificate, citizen’s identification card, foreign passport, copy of birth certificate of children under 16 years of age;

7.Notarized copies of marriage certificate if married or official decision from authorized organization on divorce if divorced.

8.Notarized copy of agreement of parents who are applying for Mongolian citizenship for themselves and their children under the age of 16;

9. Notarized copy of written permission of children aged 16 to 18 applying for change of citizenship;

10. Approval letter/with translation/ from applicant`s country`s diplomatic mission or consulate office in Mongolia if the applicant qualifies the article 4.2 of Law on Citizenship;

11. Reference from a health organization /Health centers in rural areas, or National center for mental health and National center for communicable disease/ on mental health communicable disease and human immunodeficiency virus;

12. Required documents to verify legal living sources:

12.1 Salary reference from an organization or legal entity, notarize copy of social insurance book;

12.2 If self-employed, reference of income from a bank or tax authority and notarized copy of company certificate;

12.3 Notarized copy of real estate property certificate;

12.4 Other supporting evidences of living sources;

13. Proof of residency from khoroo`s governor (address, number of family members);

14. 3 photos;

15. Receipt of payment /60.000₮/.
