• Official request letter by inviting individual (Must include purpose and duration of stay)
• Original copy of official request made for visa permission, copy of other documents used in visa permission application;
• Copy of Mongolian spouse`s ID
• Address statement by local sum, khoroo`s authority 
• Copy of passport or relevant valid substitute (must be valid for a minimum of 180 days before your intended travel to Mongolia);
• 2 photos (size 3.5x4.5)
• Official marriage, birth or adoption certificate with official translation
• Biography of 2 generations of his/her family, family inquiry/detailed information/ and a family portrait;
• Proof of sufficient funding;
• Immune Deficiency Syndrome test report
• Police criminal record by country of origin with official translation

Notice 

• Short-term visitor must apply for residence permit at the Immigration agency of Mongolia within 21 days after entry
• Foreign national shall apply for residency permit if he/she is staying more than specified period in mongolian international agreements 
• Foreign national must apply for a residency permit at Immigration Agency of Mongolia 21 days after entering the country
•  A foreign national applying for a residence permit for the first time must come to the Immigration agency in person and register biometric data (fingerprints, photos).
• Residency permit can be issued up to 1 year for the first two years 
• In case of refusal to issue or renew a residence permit, the same type of residence may be re-applied for after 1 year.
